Now how comes that as soon as the conservatives look to be winning the battle against the shambolic left wing they join it and labour start making some sense. Now, don't get me wrong I hate Blair as well. His wife don't get me started, Brown's a tight-fisted, simplistic ass and Prescott....well you know (jabba the hutt?)!! But Cameron is twittering on about green fuel and all his other jazz, Blair makes some sense!!! He must be ill!! There are three thing I agree with...

Anti - animal rights extremists- God know's how many years these asses have set medical advancement back. Smallpox killed 1 in 5 people untill a vaccine was developed!!...on animals! Sometimes vaccines don't work I agree but trial and improvement is the only way forward. These activists want Improvement with no trial!! Good for you Tony!!

Nuclear power - the most efficient and now very safe power source treated with such taboo. It's in abundance, it's efficient and its now very safe. The rods won't run out for years by which time we'll be so advanced we can send up spaceships and launch the buggers into the sun (along with some animal rights extremists!) .

Finally Ruth Kelly - She is an arse pure and simple!! a throw back to the socialist past and couldn't manage a piss up in a brewery. BUT!! she's a Catholic, a member of Opeus Dei and in charge of equal rights for Homosexuals. And we all know what Catholics think of them. Best thing is they can't get rid of her because these gays are mostly about anti-persecution and not being discriminated for what you are!! Ruth is a catholic. Sacking her would be going against their own morals!! Sweet.

Now don't worry folks I'm not a Labour supporter but Cameron get your head out of the clouds. This is what really matters to people!!

Yes, I couldn't belive it either its the stuff dreams are made of!!! First we beat Chelsea with a Titus header but more importantly we beat Bolton (my girlfriends team) to the spot. Now I don't want to rub it in because I'm very lucky Louise doesn't support Man UTD or Arsenal like most do, however..... Hahaha!!! Soz Lou.

Its going to be awesome seeing the toon back in Europe next season I've missed those nights so much!! Also they are some of the few games I get to see due to my lack of sky!!!

Today Glenn Roeder will be unveiled as Newcastle manager and I couldn't be happier. After an Ego-maniac like Souness this is a welcome change and I'm looking forward to a big season with loads of top players and more to come i'm sure in the summer!!

Any Newcastle fans out there who've got an opinion on this or some transfer talk let us know!!

Message of the week

A very well known passage this week and an often misunderstood subject, forgiveness. We are all taught to forgive, that isn't hard to understand but why? Well' Jesus was nailed to the cross, he was the son of god, and to recieve forgiveness the ancients would offer a sacrifice. These all tie together. For the forgiveness of our sins there had to be a sacrifice, but the weight of the worlds sin there had to be a sacrifice pure of heart and perfect in God's eyes. Jesus was the only man or being that would suffice. In other words our sins nailed him to that cross and he died for us so we can be forgiven. We also need to forgive others. Not just other people but the church, too. They make mistakes as they have to walk a very fine line between alienating christians and accepting the immoral. This has lead to the acceptance of homosexuals, abortion and women priests. We must understand their predicament and accept some actions are not made with true feeling but are made at the fear of alienating the unsaved majority.

Hey there, I haven't posted in a while due to my lack of the internet (my peeps haven't seen the light yet but i'm working on it!!), but the world has changed beyond all recognition. The country has gone to crap with leaders who can't control a group of nurses, kick foreign criminals out of the country and go around shagging their secretaries. The BNP in charge!! God help us, but its better than the lefties or the greenies.

But what is happening with that England job, eh? First It's McClaren (please no, managing a poor side now and may have gotten to used to it!), then Allardyce (GOOD!!) now Scolari!! He can't even speak English let alone understand how our game is played. On the upside the Magpies are kicking ass!! Roeder is a genius and O'Neill will take us to many many cups!! Blackburn your ours! Back in Europe will be great coz I don't get sky and its one of the few times I can see them live!!

Oh yeah and revision. what a pile of crap. I can't remember my own name half the time how the hell can I remember loads of business legislation!!! You never try and remmber things in the real world you keep a book so its just pointless. And what is with BS5. a report in 1.5 hours? no chance.

Mad Laws

We all may disagree with many laws passed throughout our land. I myself am an opponent to the sacrifice of freedom of speech to spare offending a minority group. But spare a thought for those governed by these laws!!

In this great land of ours it is illegal to call your pet “Queen” or “Princess without the Queen’s permission.

In India women can marry goats but men can’t.

In Greece driving without bathing can cost you your license.

In China, boxing is illegal as it is too brutal, however capital punishment isn’t.

In Michigan, USA it is illegal for a married woman to cut her own hair without her husbands permission.

In Kentucky, USA by law you must bath at least once a year.

Message of the week

Last week we talked about pain and why God allows it to exist. It is possible that if pain didn’t exist the human race would have been wiped out long ago. I know it sounds weird but think about it…if there was no pain we wouldn’t know when something was wrong e.g. a disease or emotional ‘gut instinct’. Both of these are useful although unpleasant. Focusing on emotional pain though, “how can that be good pain?” you may ask. It may be a sign that you are not living your life according to God’s will. Depression can allow people to view the world around them with more clarity and hence change there life to more in keeping with God’s wish. So emotional distress can bring about challenge and change. A blessing in disguise!!

Quote of the week

“Pain need not always be regarded as an enemy, it may become our ally in gaining a fuller life”.

Prayer of the week

Gracious Father, help me understand that in your universe you allow only compliments of you. Even in Pain and suffering you have an authentic word to speak to me. Please help me hear it. Amen.

Message of the week

There are some truths we can all hold close and use as anchors for our souls. Firstly (raised last week), in a fallen world pain has a positive function. It is a sign that danger is coming! We can’t fully comprehend why God allowed pain in the world but as discussed last week we can see its positive purpose. Secondly, that the Christian Faith has survived its worst moment, the death of its leader! By his life and deluge into darkness and most awful death he has brought renewed hope to the Christian faith. The hope that if they accept this that redemption, joy and eternity with him will be the consequence. This will long outlive the one-dimensional and shallow philosophies of life.

Quote of the week

Christianity is unique and invincible. No other faith has such a message, no other faith has such a saviour.

Prayer of the week

Lord Jesus, help me remember when life is difficult that I belong to a saviour who has not only made life possible, but full of possibilities. I am so thankful, Amen.

The Acid Test for Newcastle

Now we can see what change there really has been since Souness has left. The Magpies appalling showing against Manchester United on the weekend may not have seemed to have a silver lining. The Babayaro / Boumsong comedy show was in town again, Given was left hopelessly exposed by the usually assured Ramage and Shearer barely had a half chance to get on the end of. Throughout the week Emre has been talking of the new belief about the camp, we need to see it, bounce back, and beat Liverpool at fortress St. James’. Only next week will we see the true affect of Glenn Roeder’s new ethic. I haven’t commented in a while on my beloved magpies (basically because I’ve only just got to grips with the archive system on my blog hence many have been deleted!) and optimistic as ever I feel a late push for the European spots is possible. We are far superior to any team Bolton or Blackburn can put out, so owe it to the Premiership to represent it in Europe. Anyway come on the lads against Liverpool!!

N.B. Babayaro and Boumsong come up as ‘Bizarre’ and ‘Bemusing’ on my spell check! Quite apt don’t you think?

Speni's Blunders

No I'm not talking about Mr and Mrs Spencers decision 18 or so years ago to go upstairs (or the unplanned motion as the case may be!) or Speni's continued failure in everything that requires a grain of effort or intelligence I am of course talking about his CU leadership! There are many flaws but I've narrowed them down to a top 5 :

Speni doesn't ever lead a meeting he sits there and nods like the churchill dog!!
He leaves malicious comments on my blog in order to upset other people instead of improving his own (rather poor CU blog)
His comments are poor and the only good one is copied from song by the Stereophonics
He has an underdeveloped knowledge of history i.e. He believes he came up with the idea of thought of the week as a concept.

but number 1......

His thought of the week reading "The way is not in the sky, the way is in the heart." is in fact a buddha quote by Hindu Prince Gautama Siddharta, the founder of Buddhism between 563-483 B.C. So why did he feel moved to include this on a christian site?

If anyone is reading this and feels it is more aggressive than my usual posts you would be correct, but Speni's comments have really upset me and I feel the truth must come out. I wish to also take this opportunity to forgive Speni and his accomplice, and hope that our CU doesn't suffer the same fate as HMSG's.

We should not concern ourselves where evil has come from but where it leads us. We should pray for the power to turn injustice to god ends. Some people cannot do those things and just complain about injustice. It may well be so but we are told it will be so throughout the bible! The most clear example being of that at the cross at Calvary. Another being the Life and work of the Apostle Paul. If we can do the above we will receive something wholly more wonderful than justice, Gods Blessing!!

Yes!! Terrific performance from the Lads last night against Uruguay, that gave us real reason to be optimistic when we play Paraguay. Also the feable performances from France, Sweden,Argentina and the Gemans mean maybe glory is not just a dream but more of an aim. Stand out performances from Carrick, SWP and of course Joe Cole earnt them for me a place on the plane to Germany. We dominated both halves and was very unlucky to be on the recieving end of an awesome goal that frankly crouch couldnt have reached!! Throughout the game I was thinking of what a problem Sven has narrowing down all our talent to just 23. So heres my effort.

Delirious? Concert

As you may know (if you have visited some of the links) Some homies from the CU are going to see Delirious on the 8th March and I'm sure its going to be awesome!! I havent been to many big music gigs in my time (plenty of football and rugby matches mind!) and am not quite sure what to expect!! I'll also confess I know little about the band so am really a blank canvas!! A big up to Luke for organising it and a real shout out for Speni for getting us funding and helping with da finance!! Trip wouldn't be possible without them! I'll have to do without my fellow pontypudlian Skinus but can't be helped!! Mr Cochran will protect me (one of the teachers taking us!)!! LOL!! As a recently qualified driver I don’t know many rules of the road you don’t learn until after your test. But I learnt one this week!! Thursday’s paper highlighted the case of a council Highways worker who gave a speed camera van man a friendly thumbs up, smile and quick toot of the horn!! Imagine his surprise that after this friendly gesture (where many of us would have given an altogether different gesture) to be chased by 7 policemen and charged ₤30 for “unnecessary use of audible warning instruments”. This irritated me and only got more intense as I read on to discover that the same police force that felt it necessary to arm a police camera van with 7 officers had earlier in the week told local shop owners not to report thefts of under ₤75 as they were too stretched!! The Police wonder why there is such public detest of them!!! With their policy on persecuting the innocent, contempt for youth, and persistence in allowing rapists and pedophiles to walk the streets I would sooner put a certain part of my anatomy on a plate in front of Hannibal Lector and arm him with a knife and fork than put my safety in their hands!! (at least he has a bit of common sense!!)
